Hi! I’m Anna, and I’m so glad you’re here! I am a native Nashvillian, and I’ve always been captivated by people. Through growing up experiences, I found the role of therapist came pretty naturally. I could listen well and empathize with my friends, and I enjoyed it. After starting my own therapy journey, and going through big life challenges, I started to see the benefit in my life and my relationships. I consider it a true honor to meet people where they are and walk beside them.

During my college years at The University of Tennessee, I met my husband, and 17+ years later our marriage continues to teach us about grace and patience.

I received my Masters in Clinical Counseling from Lipscomb University in 2012. I completed my clinical internships in private school and church settings. During one of my internships, I began to work with adolescents in a private school and was hired after graduation.

When my husband and I entered parenthood, I made the intentional decision to step away from my career to focus on caregiving. Now, with three children, we are embracing both the joys and challenges of raising a young family. As a therapist and mother, I deeply understand the struggles of balancing self-care, relationships, marriage, careers, and parenting. I also have firsthand experience navigating the unique dynamics of a neurodiverse household and caring for medically complex children. These experiences have enriched my ability to support others, and in 2024, I was thrilled to launch my private practice.

Credentials:

  • M.S. in Clinical Counseling from Lipscomb University

  • B.A. in Psychology from The University of Tennessee

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP) with the state of Tennessee 

*Becoming an LPC-MHSP requires (in addition to a 61-hour graduate program) 3 internships, 3 clinical board exams, 3,000 hours of clinical experience and supervision, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy.

  • Training in IFS-informed approaches, ACT, CBT, DBT, experiential therapies, and relational therapies.

While I work with a variety of individuals, I am passionate about working with women and girls ages 16 and up.

Therapeutic approach:

I use an integrative and collaborative approach which means I combine multiple theoretical perspectives and believe people are their own experts. I work to create safe, authentic, and accepting connections with my clients. I use experiential therapies, somatic work, and talk therapy.
